traditions and a trauma-informed approach to help you thrive

personalised, allowing you to explore the harmonious
connection between your inner world and physical world, in a

Ellen started exploring the world of yoga after suffering severe back pain while studying at university. She came to realise the need to slow down and use gentle, restorative yoga practices, somatic movement, breath work and meditation techniques to create balance and overcome injury, stress, chronic pain and trauma.

Ellen has travelled around the world, learning from leaders in Anusara, yoga therapy, and embodied movement practices such as Feldenkrais and body-mind centring. Over the past twenty years, Ellen has created the beautiful Ellen Blackman Yoga global community with students in Melbourne, Sao Paulo, London and France where she hosts annual yoga retreats.
Using ancient yoga traditions and a trauma-informed approach to help thrive in the modern world, Ellen loves nothing more than supporting her like-minded community in learning how to create a deep sense of calm, rest, connection and optimism through the beauty of yoga.
